Hello. I’m Matt Markins, the author of Authentic Action. More than anything, I am crazy about a God who pursues his creation relentlessly…even me.  Although it’s almost unthinkable, the creator of our universe loves his creation.  He loves and knows us personally, and he wants me to love Him in return.  So, I spend my days trying to live with an appropriate response to God’s overwhelming love for me.

I am truly a blessed man.  For the last 11 years I have lived each day with the love of my life, Katie.  If you think she is beautiful on the outside, you should see her heart.  I get to see it each week as God reveals Himself through her thoughts, words, and actions.  Let me tell you, words can not describe the beauty I see come from her.  She does not know the meaning of the word mediocrity.  Her heart beats for Christ with total abandonment.  She puts me to shame in her walk with Christ, and she challenges me daily.  Throughout our marriage the transforming power of Jesus Christ has equipped us with the power to overcome some of our most significant challenges.  We owe him everything.

We have two boys who we absolutely adore.  Warren is 6 and Hudson is 4.  It is our joy and honor to be their parents, to live life to the fullest with them, and to introduce them to an obedient life with Christ each day.  We have so much fun together!

I have spent the last 9 years in events, marketing, publishing, and in short term missions.  Currently I serve as the Director and Cofounder of the D6 Conference and the Marketing and Sales Director at Randall House for D6 Family and D6 Curriculum, and I love what I do.

For kicks I love playing volleyball, flag football, fishing, spending lunch with a friend, collecting Nike Air Jordan’s III, IV, V & VI, traveling with my family, working in the yard with my lovely wife, and going on adventures with my sons.
