Posted by Matt Markins in Just found this old Mac ad. Sure it’s old, the computer looks like a dinosaur, the music sounds different, etc. However, notice a few things:
- the camera angles
- the basic computer system (monitor/tower, keyboard, & mouse)
- simplicity
- clear message
Mac is using the same formula that they were using in 1984 & it’s still working. Some things have changed, but the basic formula of the way they communicate a clear message has remained the same. Brilliant.
Matt – Agreed. Apple has always done a superb job communicating clearly and effectively to potential customers through ads. Great find.
Heyyy..those aren’t OLD, they are just “vintage”…I was in college when these first came out. BTW..The Commodore 64 was loads better at the time!
