What’s New?

Two new things.  The D6 Church – Family Emphasis Kit & New Marty McFly Nike’s.

Check this out, for only $9.99 you can get an entire campaign for your church. It comes with 3 sermons for the pastor (In Microsoft Word & in pdf format), three 5-minute videos on DVD to play before your sermons or lessons, 9 different power point backgrounds for your sermon/presentation, promotional materials like poster, flyer and t-shirt.  It’s way more than you would expect for something that is only ten bucks.  We have valued it at 39 dollars.

The DVD has personal interviews with George Barna, Fred Stoeker, John Trent, Robert J. Morgan and a couple of other guys from Randall House.  It’s off the hook!  As a bonus it’s also packet with extra footage of these guys sharing their D6 stories and invitations to The D6 Conference.

Check this out!  I will never forget the moment I saw Marty McFly’s shoes lace up automatically! It’s here! Back to the Future is one of the best trilogies of all time (for sheer entertainment value), and I am glad Nike has finally done it.

D6 Receives Props

An organization called AMFM (Association of Marriage & Family Ministries) choose to do a feature focusing on D6 on the home page of their web site.

John Keeney and the guys and gals at AMFM have been very sympathetic to our cause.  We really feel like The D6 Conference will make a significant impact on the Church and it’s nice having partners like them out there.

Thank you AMFM & Thank you John!

New Walmart Logo

Check out the new Walmart logo.

It doesn’t necessarily make me think of Walmart, but I do like the way it looks better.  Isn’t it interesting that some logos morph over the decades, yet some never change.  Cool!

C2 is in the Warehouse!

C2: Giving Movies a Second Look with Michael W. Smith is now in the warehouse. It ships to retailers on Monday July 7th and will be available in stores on July 15th.

If you haven’t seen it check out C2dvd.com

It’s a pretty cool small group study for young adults & teens.  If you like to discuss movies and being with your friends in small group, this is for you!

The point of C2 is to help individuals and groups to think critically about the movies and entertainment they watch.  You can pick them up either at a Christian store of just get it off of the web site. Enjoy!

Creative Communication

If I am going to have a blog, than I should keep up with it. I have certainly failed at this the last two months. I’d love to give you an elaborate excuse about all of the projects and traveling and everything else that I have had my hands in. Although that may explain part of my situation, it still doesn’t excuse it.

With that behind me, take a look at this.

Recently we signed a deal to publish a product for Michael W. Smith and Seabourne Pictures (Michael’s feature film company) called C2: Giving Movies a Second Look. This is a product that is designed for Small Groups, Youth Groups and Young Adult Groups, etc. In our efforts to creatively and effectively get the message out, we did something a little interesting. You can learn about it by listening to Doug Fields, Simply Youth Ministry podcast (which is  apparently an award winning podcast with about 2.3 Billion listeners…that’s about 1/3 of the planet…can you believe that! :-)

About 5 minutes into the podcast, just after the spandex, it gets pretty funny.

Hope you enjoy!
